About the Artwork:
The mural, Hop on Bugs, was inspired by the storytelling of the staff members who work on site with the kids. During our initial rounds of meetings, they told a story that the kids are always digging in the dirt looking for bugs. The story inspired me to create a bug inspired mural that would also have hopstocth elements. I included the hopscotch element in the mural from my experience as a child, where my school playground had the generic hopscotch. I believe combining these two elements would brighten the space and allow the kids to have a fun playground to play on.
